H&M x Mrs.Carter

Can Beyonce make us fall any more in love with her?

Well of course she could, she is Beyonce; who has endless talents and has been known that anything she touches becomes instant success.

Being a little skeptical about the H&M fashion and how Beyonce would add her own exotic flare to the store I was nothing but in love with practically every item.

She has several items from two different categories but all items are Summer approved. From her swim wear patterns and designs to her printed skirts and dresses these hot items are sure to make your Summer look have extra glances.

Her items are not only exotic and sure to make every woman feel that girl power she is lyrically famous for; each item is sure to make any of the top style picks.

$14.95 H&M
This is my favorite dress from her collection and it has such a great price.

$19.95 H&M

Patterns are a must this season, this style is a must and a great Summer must have for a classy, casual and fun look; which is perfect for the NYC weekday look.

This collection is was not at all disappointing, it captured that exotic Beyonce style.

Good Weather Calls for Good Jeans

Recently I've posted about the most popular trend, Denim; So of course I had to take advantage of the day and rock my favorite distressed jeans with a touch of pastel pink.

I absolutely love this pastel, blush pink it brought out a classy flare to the distressed simple look. Pairing this blazer with a white plain tank top, with gold and brown accessories; because my outfit had little patterns adding a brown braided belt was the perfect touch.

I also loved my simple bun so I was able to wear my extra large hoop earrings. This look was just a mix of spring trends with a business flare.

Denim Why Not

Denim is the trend that never can go out of style.
With the smallest of adjustments to the denim cut the style still stays the same and always has a strong follow with the Fashionista's but also Men are the biggest fans.

Denim is not only for your bottom coverage denim shirts do have their own flare. Denim on denim can turn heads in a good way and bad. Make sure when tying both looks together the top or bottom is a lighter or darker version than the top or bottom you wish to pair it with.

GQ Magazine also did a coverage on the trend that never fails. This look has not only GQ's approval but we cannot forget about a very influential and lover of Denim.

The always fashionable Rihanna is a perfect example of the mixed denim. Can't forget that white cropped tee, what a perfect modern look to the old denim trend.
Something about Denim makes us all fall all over again.

Not only do Men have prints and love for this trend but Women do love their play on patterns and summer pastels. Check out these great blends and prints on how to make your summer a little more fun and fashionable.

Denim the style that outlasts.

A day at Magaschoni

The good weather always brings in good moods and what better way to enjoy the day than catching up on a daily dose of Fashion.

Magaschoni was where I was headed to spend my mid-day hours.

Through Berkeley College several Fashion students and Fashion Club members
were able to take part in a
photo shoot for the collections by Magaschoni.

Magaschoni is a luxury lifestyle brand they create many memorable classics with a modern touch in colors and fabrics as well as giving its many consumers a merchandise with unforgettable quality.

Here is a little taste of some the things we had chance to learn as well as be apart of:

Learning about the Merchandise: Textiles

A Berkeley Intern letting us know what her schedule consisted of.

Getting to have discussions on our own
 personal thoughts about the Merchandise.

Interviewing Fashion Students on their experience as a Fashion Major.

After getting the inside look on Magaschoni's show room we were able to discuss and share how we thought about the trends for the Spring/ Summer as well as pointing out continuing trends.
We also welcomed our new International Students and Fashion Club Members.

Over all the day was a complete success. Everyone who was involved in this great learning experience walked away with more knowledge on the job of a Buyer in the Fashion world.
Thank You Berkeley College for giving us another great learning experience.

Reebok vs. Rick Ross

So we all know Reebok has been through a complete change starting from designs of shoes to the entire remake of the Marketing strategy.

Reebok has been on the rise ever since artist and producer Swizz Beats has taken over and added his noted Fashion Sense to the companies new look as well as it's new brand ambassadors for example wife Alicia Keys, rapper Tyga as well as, well known Miami rapper Rick Ross.

Alicia Keys and Husband Swizz Beats
Swizz Beats, Tyga and Rick Ross last person on the right.

Recently Rick Ross has released a track with Rocko and Future titled U.O.E.N.O; where he states in his lyrics "Put molly all in her champagne, she ain't even know it. I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain't even know it."

After the song was shortly released immediately started the controversy of the publics anger towards the rapper referring to a rape in his lyrics.
The public feels that this loose statement need not taken lightly. His tie to Reebok was also affected. Many consumers have picketed the brand and pushed them to end their brand contract with the rapper Rick Ross.

Will this affect the sales of reebok and should rappers always be used to represent brands?

This definitely isn't the only and first controversy for music artists in the Fashion world. Let's not forget about Rihanna

Is publicity always good publicity?
